My name is Alice and I’m a write-a-holic. I love beautiful, unspoiled places, travel and adventure. Most of all I love my country, Zimbabwe, with its amazing, friendly people, its wildlife, and its ability to surprise me at every turn. I'm fascinated by people and what makes them tick. And I love to laugh. I try to combine all these things in my writing.

AFRICA NEWS

Zimbabwe, after may years of corruption, unemployment and repression, had a change of leadership after our celebrated not-a-coup, where military leaders took power anyway. We hoped that the new president Mnangagwa might set the economy on a better course - but there are still no jobs, there's still no cash in the banks, and only his political rivals have been charged with corruption. We're also concerned because he will not clarify his role in the Gukurahundi massacres in the 1980's, and has denied the horrific violence perpetrated by his party in 2008.

We're due for elections again in July or August, and many fear a return to the shocking brutality of previous election campaigns.
